Working with a Periodontist for Gum Grafting
It is important that you see an experienced periodontist for your gum recession treatment because the gums can be delicate and difficult to manipulate without the right tools and protocols. Once we have located donor gum grafting materials, we can attach the material to the existing gum line and contour and shape the gums to create your new gum line. It can take several weeks or months for the gums to fully heal but you will notice a significant difference in your smile immediately.
